Overview

This program is designed to support clients in the Ancaster area who have limited or no means of transportation to get to and from medical and/or professional appointments within the Ancaster/Dundas/Hamilton area.  The program relies on volunteers to drive seniors to their medical or medical related appointments, and bring them back home. Medical appointments will always take precedence over professional appointments.

There is a nominal fee associated with the service in order to help offset the cost of gas, and mileage on the volunteers car.  Potential clients must register with the program coordinator, Kristin Shuttleworth at 905-973-0318.

Ancaster Community Services requests a minimum of 3 days’ notice to fill a drive request as the program is powered by volunteers. The more time provided the better the chances are of filling a request. Clients are invoiced monthly via mail or email.
