DonationsDONATIONS Ancaster is one of Hamilton’s fastest-growing communities. With growth comes need. The need for senior support. The need for youth employment. The need to help families at risk and victims of violence. Ancaster Community Services is the only local organization specifically chartered and focused to care for our community’s well-being. But we need your help to keep up with demand for our services. Please support the ACS by making a charitable donation today. It’s tax deductible and will enable us to meet our goal of reducing dependence on government funding. Click here for our Online Donation form. There are many ways to support ACS-Do one of the following today!! • You can send us a donation at any time. 100% of the funds we raise support social services in Ancaster and area. • Twice a year...spring and fall we publish a newsletter to keep everyone current on ACS developments. We include an insert in this newsletter so you may donate by return mail. • You can donate to specific services such as Meals on Wheels, Assisted Volunteer Driving, or other programs of your choice. • Donate cash, specific gifts or food to our Christmas outreach program which provides a complete package of gifts, Christmas meal and food for about a month to families in need in the Ancaster area. • Donate food vouchers available in your local supermarket in denominations of $20 or $25. When the needy arrive at our door, we supply emergency food vouchers. It is our policy to never give out cash. • Knit or donate newly purchased mitts, gloves, toques or scarves to decorate our mitten tree each December. Each year we donate these to those in need. • Be a golfer, sponsor a hole or donate a prize to our annual Community Links charity golf tournament. The event occurs during Heritage week in June every year. Mark June 09, 2010 in your calendar! Help us help others! As a registered charity we issue income tax receipts for all cash donations of $10.00 and over.
